Security and data

We ask for as little as scoring needs. Here is exactly what that is.

A fraud tool that sits on your ad accounts should be the easiest thing in your stack to audit. This page sets out what we access, why, how long we keep it and who can see it.

Access

What is read from your ad accounts, and why.

  • Ability to change bids or budgets
  • Ability to create or edit ads
  • Account user management

Retention

How long records are kept.

Click logs

Raw click-level scoring data is kept for 90 days, long enough to rebuild patterns and cover typical platform dispute windows.

Evidence records

Records for blocked clicks are kept for 13 months, so a year-on-year comparison and any late dispute still has its evidence.

On disconnect

When you disconnect an account or close your workspace, its data is deleted within 30 days unless you ask for an export first.

Protection

Encryption and access control, stated plainly.

  • Encrypted in transitAll traffic between your browser, the ad platforms and Maddet uses TLS.
  • Encrypted at restStored click logs, evidence records and platform tokens are encrypted at rest.
  • Tokens, not passwordsPlatform access uses OAuth tokens you can revoke at any time. We never see your ad platform password.
  • Least-privilege staff accessInternal access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to support you, and is logged.
  • Hashed device identifiersDevice fingerprints are stored as hashes. Evidence identifies patterns, not people.

Boundary statement

Maddet flags and documents suspicious traffic. Final refund decisions rest with the ad platform, not with Maddet.

You keep the decision on what is blocked, excluded and disputed.

Exposure estimate

Read access, a clear boundary, and a number you have never seen before.

Enter what you spend on paid media each month. The slip shows the range typically lost to invalid traffic at that level. The audit replaces the range with your real figure.
